Setup
A few heads-ups before your first cast.
Glass Prompter casts to Display Glasses using the vendor's developer toolkit. Two things to know.
Firmware requirement.
Your glasses need Display Glasses firmware v125 or newer. Check for updates in the companion app on your phone before pairing. Older firmware does not support the display path Glass Prompter uses.
Pairing handles the rest.
When you tap Pair Glasses in the iOS app, we hand off to your glasses' companion app. Accept the prompt and you're set. No Developer Mode toggle to hunt for in Settings.
The smart-glasses SDK is currently in developer preview, so the companion app asks you once to allow a third-party app. The vendor has stated publishing will open to general availability in 2026 — once that happens, the prompt goes away and the experience matches any other App Store app.
About the Bluetooth prompt.
When casting starts, your glasses may show a Bluetooth call prompt on the display. It's safe to ignore. iOS routes the cast audio through the glasses as a Bluetooth headset, which incidentally surfaces the call UI.
Just minimize or end the call on the glasses. Your script keeps casting normally. No one is actually being called.
